In the first round of the 2016 Fraser Valley Championships our Sr. Girls Volleyball team faced a tough opponent in the Regent Christian Royals. After a close first set loss, the girls came back to win the second set led by the great serving and setting of Laura Wilson. But that was not enough to overcome the Royals as Highroad lost the final 2 sets and ended up losing the match 3 games to 1. It was a tough to lose on the first day of Fraser Valleys, but I want to thank all the girls who were a part of this team, especially our lone grade 12, Alivia Weston, along with Mao Hara and Hona Nishio who will be returning to Japan in February.
