Alumni Games Tonight

Just a few hours away, we will be hosting the 2016/17 Alumni Games for Girls Volleyball and Boys Basketball.

Come Join us tonight at 5pm (Volleyball) and 7pm (Basketball).

There will be a full concession including Pulled Pork, Chilli, and Chicken Vegetable Soup.

Last Saturday both of our Grade 8 and Grade 9 Boys Basketball teams played for the Fraser Valley East Banner vs. GWG and then moved into the Fraser Valley Championships.

The Grade 8 boys started slowly again GWG, but worked their way back throughout the second and third quarters. In the end they ran out of time and lost to GWG 52 to 33, placing 2nd in the Fraser Valley East and earning a birth to the Fraser Valley Championships.

In the Fraser Valley Championships the grade 8’s were up against a strong team from MEI. The game started off very well with the Knights leading by 8 at the end of the first quarter, but then MEI battled back and took over the lead in the second quarter and would continue to build on it finishing with a 66-49 win over Highroad.

The Grade 9 Boys played an excellent game against GWG on Saturday led by Easton Abel with a team high 23 points. Near the end of the fourth quarter GWG came on strong to tie the game and send it to overtime. Highroad would not be able to recover and ended up with a heartbreaking 59 to 67 Loss in OT.

Next up was the Fraser Valley Championships first round against a physical team from North Surrey. After another mid game lead, highroad could not hold on and lost 45-38.

The School district has closed schools for tomorrow (Friday) so both of our teams play for the championship banner on Saturday Feb 11th). ALL GAMES AT GWG

10:00 am 8 girls championship

11:30 8 boys championship (Highroad vs. GWG)

1:00 9 girls championship

2:30 9 boys championship (Highroad vs. GWG)

Due to all the Ice and Snow, School has been cancelled today. This means that ALL Practices and Games are also Cancelled!

Grade 8’s and 9’s, your games will hopefully be played on Friday and possibly Saturday. I will update the website when I find out the details.

Due to another SnowDay in Chilliwack, our grade 8 and 9 Basketball Games have been postponed until Thursday after school. Please talk to your coaches for more details.

Due to the HUGE amounts of snow we received…again…all the schools in Chilliwack are closed on Monday Feb 6th!

This means that all practices and games are also cancelled.

Grade 8 and 9’s – Your FVE playoffs are moved back one day.

Sr. Boys and Girls Teams – your next games are scheduled for Tuesday night at Unity.

Tournament Cancelled!!!

Due to the amount of snow that we have received and the safety of all of our players, coaches, parents, teachers and volunteers we have decided to make the difficult decision to CANCEL the rest of the BCCSSAA Sr. Girls Basketball tournament!

There will be NO GAMES at Highraod or Unity on Saturday Feb 4th.
